We were at the ISFE/CECE2022 conference in Faro – Portugal

Together with Guro Sandvick from CIGENE and my two students Royan Muhammad Rahmad and Lauren Closs, we went to the join congress between the International Society for Fish Endocrinology (ISFE) and the European Society for Comparative Endocrinology (CECE). This event took place in Faro (Portugal) from September 4th to 8th 2022.

During this event we had the pleasure to meet many interesting people and old colleagues and friends. Hopefully we also met future collaborators.

The three of us gave a presentation during the conference.

Royan Muhammad Rahmad presented a new pathway for seasonal regulation of gonadotropes in fish.

Royan even received the 2nd best presentation prize at the end of the conference !

Lauren Closs presented the results from her US Fulbright project on the impact of light pollution on fish reproduction.

I presented a state-of-the-art lecture on Pituitary plasticity in fish talking about stem cells and transdifferentiation roles.

We had really great time and many interesting discussions.
